Joseph P. Orsatti, Jr. was the founder and owner of the Original firm, Orsatti and Associates. Joseph practiced land planning and landscape architecture since l965. His educational background included a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the Pennsylvania State University, and graduate work in the Masters Program at the University of Pennsylvania, in Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning. He also traveled and studied abroad, with particular emphasis on Western European New Town Planning, Landscape Architecture, and park and recreation work.

Mr. Orsatti was a registered Landscape Architect in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (National and State Chapters); and served as a member of the prestigious Philadelphia Art Commission for fifteen years. Mr. Orsatti was recognized as an expert witness with regard to issues of Land Planning and Landscape Architecture in numerous Township legal hearings.

Mr. Orsatti passed in February of 2025 and was honored by family and friends at his funeral in Paoli, PA.
