10 Valley Stream Parkway was an entry design that led up to a newly renovated building designed by D2 Architects. With a simple material palette including saw-cut concrete, corten light fixtures by Streetlife, and cast-in-place retaining walls; this walk was designed to create an entry but also a place to enjoy. Movable seating towards the glass facade provides moments for conversation, planter walls provide height and a place to sit, and a lower terrace nestled in the landscape for tenants to enjoy their lunch.
Other design gestures include, the saw-cut pattern that compliments the grid-like paneling of the architecture and soft grasses to create a natural contrast to the ridged walkway.
